Toyota Hilux N70 Apple CarPlay Head Unit Upgrade Guide

The Toyota Hilux N70 (2005–2015) is one of Australia’s most popular utes, known for reliability, touring capability, and rugged off-road performance. While the vehicle itself has aged well, the factory radio and infotainment system can now feel outdated compared to modern technology.

Many Hilux owners are upgrading their factory stereo to a modern Apple CarPlay and Android Auto head unit to improve navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, music streaming, and overall driving experience.

At CJ INDUSTRIES Australia, we specialise in plug & play Toyota Hilux N70 head unit upgrades designed specifically for Australian-delivered vehicles.

Our Toyota Hilux Apple CarPlay head unit kits are compatible with:

Toyota Hilux WorkMate
Toyota Hilux SR
Toyota Hilux SR5
Dual Cab models
Extra Cab models
Automatic & Manual variants

Why Upgrade the Toyota Hilux N70 Factory Head Unit?

The original factory stereo in the N70 Hilux lacks many modern features drivers now use daily, including:

Wireless Apple CarPlay
Wireless Android Auto
HD touchscreen displays
Google Maps & Waze navigation
Spotify & Bluetooth music streaming
Modern reverse camera integration
Faster and smoother performance

Upgrading to a modern Hilux N70 head unit dramatically improves both functionality and interior appearance.

A modern Toyota Hilux Apple CarPlay upgrade allows you to safely use:

Google Maps
Apple Maps
Waze
Spotify
YouTube Music
Podcasts
Siri & Google Assistant
Hands-free phone calls

directly from the touchscreen display.

This makes the Hilux far more enjoyable for:

Touring
Camping
Off-road driving
Caravan towing
Daily driving
Work vehicles
