Warranties, Returns & Exchanges Policies

 

 

Missing Parts:

If in the case that part of your order has been left out accidentally, we will issue a replacement for the left out order components respectively. Sometimes, the fascia and cables are shipped separately depending on the size - to ensure they’re not damaged in transit. If you have received a screen and no fascia (or vice versa) - please contact us. Most of the time, the fascia has just been shipped separately to avoid damage in transit.


 

Change of Mind Purchases / Returns

We generally do not accept returns for change of mind (or similar) purchases.

Change of mind purchases (or similar) will be decided by our team, on a case by case basis. We reserve the right to deny a return or refund for any change of mind purchases. Change of mind purchases/returns will not be considered after 7 days of arrival.

After 7 days of purchase, the above scenarios are void, and unfortunately we cannot accept an exchange or return.

 


Incorrect Items Purchased: 

Please ensure you read the product description and information entirely to avoid any issues when ordering - as we are unable to accept returns for incorrect items ordered, or if you miss a piece of crucial information. If you are unsure; please message our team prior to ordering. If you do purchase an incorrect item - contact us, and we may be able to arrange an exchange or different frame/harness kit depending on the circumstances.

If you purchase the incorrect kit for your vehicle, please message us within 7 days of receiving your order and we can discuss the options regarding exchanging the kit, or sending out extra parts to make it work.  Ensure the kit remains in “as new” condition, and you do not attempt installation - if you have purchased the wrong kit.

Simply send us an email within 7 days of receiving your order, and we can discuss the necessary steps. In this situation, an exchange will take place (not a refund) unless discussed otherwise with staff. If you incorrectly purchase a kit, and attempt installation yourself prior to contacting us - the exchange will be declined. All items must be returned in as new condition.

After 30 days of purchase, the above scenarios are void, and unfortunately we cannot accept an exchange or return.

 

Order Cancellations:

Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of ordering

 

Return Postage Costs:

For returns pertaining to change of mind purchases, exchanges, incorrect items ordered, or similar - postage costs must be covered by the buyer. All exchanges and change of mind returns will also incur a 10% processing / exchange fee.

 

 Refund Methods: 

All refunds will be processed onto the original payment method at time of ordering. We are unable to refund into a bank account directly. 



Return Methods: 

Please contact us for return instructions prior to returning packages. All returns must be approved prior to sending them back, and we must issue a return label to do so. Please do not send packages back to the address on the return label - we must issue a prepaid return label for ALL returns - prior to posting the item. If you do not follow these instructions, or send back an unauthorised return, it will void your return and we may not be able to recover your package. We will not be responsible for any funds or items lost if you do not follow our return instructions.


 

Faulty Products or Damaged Products:

In the rare scenario that units arrive faulty, or are damaged upon arrival - please contact our team so we can issue replacements or make arrangements ASAP. Damaged items must be reported within 7 days of receiving your item / order. Below is the process we take to determine if a unit is faulty, damaged, or if a basic installation step was missed:


If you receive your order, and you believe that It may be faulty (eg. Screen won’t turn on, errors etc) - please contact us as soon as possible. Most of the time, it’s just a setup step that was missed or a wire plugged into the wrong spot. When you contact us, we will do some troubleshooting via email or our online chat, to determine the issue. Often this will involve one of our team members asking for some photos of your connections, install etc. so that we can ensure it has been installed correctly - and nothing has been missed.


After troubleshooting, if the issue cannot be fixed and the unit is determined faulty - we will proceed with the next steps in replacing your unit. This is done on a case-by-case basis, and varies depending on the circumstances. It’s best to contact us so that we can walk you through the steps in replacing your unit. We will work closely with all customers to ensure you reach a swift, and positive outcome.

Damaged items must be reported within 7 days of receiving your item / order.

 

WARRANTY:

We back our head units with a 2 year warranty (as of August 2024) The warranty will cover factory and manufacturing faults, so if we determine that the issue is due to a manufacturing fault or a fault from factory; it will be covered under warranty.


The following activities can void your warranty:

  • Alterations or modifications to the unit/electronic components (eg. mainboard, screen)
  • Using unauthorised third party wiring to install the unit (use the provided harnesses in the kit, or contact us for a different type)
  • Changing the software or firmware without authorisation (incl. downloading third party operating systems, jailbreaking etc)
  • If you unscrew or remove the main board from the screen, or attempt to access the internal electronics of the unit, warranty will also be void. 
  • Modifying the included wiring or harnesses without approval (cutting wires, etc)

 

Please note warranty is not transferrable

 

Adding aftermarket audio gear (subwoofers, speakers etc.) is to be done at your own risk and guidance. Ensure you have the correct knowledge / assistance prior to installing aftermarket audio gear. We recommend to use our kits with the factory audio setup... however RCA wiring kits are included if you wish to install aftermarket gear in your vehicle. We cannot assist you in the installation of aftermarket and/or third party audio systems (eg. Aftermarket speakers), so ensure you have the correct knowledge to do so , if you wish to install these items - or seek professional help.


Wiring included with the kits is for the standard factory vehicle setup. Aftermarket accessories such as external controllers, steering wheels, or OBD devices are not guaranteed compatibility. Contact us prior to ordering to confirm. 


We recommend for our car head units that you seek professional assistance for installation, as issues can occur due to incorrect installation (electrical faults, product not functioning properly, damages to vehicle and/or head unit). Issues caused by incorrect installation or damage due to customers using/installing the product incorrectly is on the responsibility of the buyer, and does not quality for a refund if it is damage caused by the customer or installer. We recommend to only install the units yourself if you have the correct knowledge and training, or feel comfortable with dealing with any issues that you may cause by incorrect installation if that occurs. If you install our head units yourself, ensure you do not do any of the actions mentioned in our warranty section that will void warranty. If you damage the unit due to incorrect / poor installation, this will void warranty. If you are unsure, contact us. By installing the unit yourself, you understand that  a safe and correct install to yourself, your vehicle and the unit is your full responsibility, and CJ INDUSTRIES will not be held accountable for any issues that arise due to an incorrect, poor or unsafe installation. We recommend to always seek assistance from a licensed or authorised auto electrician / installer, OR accept the terms outlined above in their entirety. 


CJ INDUSTRIES Highly recommends using a professional installer  or licensed  auto electrician to install your head unit and associated equipment. Although the kits are designed to be plug and play, and most models are straightforward to install,  some vehicle models may vary and require additional knowledge, where some expert help is needed. If you choose to install a head unit yourself, ensure you either have the correct training / knowledge to do so, or do thorough research to ensure you are following safe practice. CJ INDUSTRIES is not responsible for any damage caused to a vehicle as a result of installation.

If a buyer installs a unit themselves , and later returns the unit for whatever reason; this will incur a 10% restocking fee and testing/diagnostics fee under most circumstances.
