MICROPHONE: Please note, external microphone is required for hands free & calls (available separately). The factory microphone in your vehicle (if it has one) is 99% of the time not compatible with an aftermarket head unit, so you will need to replace it with our microphone.
OFFLINE MAPS: Our units come with a GPS receiver; to use this for offline maps / navigation, you will need to download a suitable app (we recommend “iGo navigation”) from the play store , onto the unit. Alternatively, you can use maps through CarPlay, Android Auto, or download Google Maps / Waze directly to the unit.
ADVANCED / AMPLIFIED SOUND SYSTEMS: Please note, if your vehicle has an advanced sound system (including but not limited to: Bose, Harman Kardon, Rockford Fosgate, JBL, Macintosh etc.) with an amplifier - you will often require an advanced harness from us for it to be compatible. If your vehicle has an advanced sound system or factory fitted amplifier - please message us prior to ordering to confirm compatibility. If a product page has an advanced harness listed, you can just add that directly to the order instead… however if there is no advanced harness on the product page, please message us to confirm.
If your vehicle also has factory navigation / maps built in - please confirm compatibility prior to purchasing.
The kit is suitable for the listed vehicle/model, with the standard audio systems. If you have a model with advanced system, stock navigation system, or not a stock setup (ie aftermarket speakers/sub/amp) , message us prior to ordering to confirm suitability. If you have an aftermarket audio system that is incompatible with our system and do not contact us prior to ordering to confirm suitability, returns may be refused.
FACTORY USB PORTS: Factory USB ports are not retained unless stated otherwise. If you wish to retain the factory USB ports, we can supply an additional adapter upon request.
PLUG AND PLAY WIRING: For some vehicles, the kits will not be 100% plug and play, and may need a few loose wires to be connected for various functions. Most of our kits are 100% plug and play, however sometimes minor wiring may be needed. Contact us prior to ordering to confirm. Sometimes, the only hardwiring required will be to connect an AMP or ANTENNA power wire, or something basic. This is not often needed - however if you are concerned, please confirm with us first to check if your kit requires anything similar.
Plug and play does not refer to the reverse camera provided in the kit. Only factory reverse camera (camera that came with the vehicle) is plug and play. The camera we provide requires minor wiring if you choose to use it.
